I often think back to weddings I have attended and even photographed, trying to recall details. Honestly, it's really difficult. I get by with bits and pieces. But there is something different about the weddings where photography was present. I'd be referring to the art of photography, of course.

My Own Wedding

I remember my wedding fairly well. You might say, "Well, of course you do, it was your wedding." And you'd be partially correct. So much of remembering must be attributed to photos, though.

Our brains are beautifully crafted, but can only retain so much information. Just think: your brain has been running since before you were born and will not stop until the day you pass. That is an overflow of information to retain.

Through photography, I firmly believe that our minds are aided in remembering. When I see a photo from my wedding day, I am transported back to that exact moment, and not just visualizing it, but feeling the same emotions. Photos carry much power with them.

When I see photos of my ceremony, I am instantly brought back to the moment I stood at the end of the aisle.

I remember the extreme June heat that all our guests were enduring as they were fanning themselves.

I remember my bride, Incana, walking down the aisle.

I was so nervous and excited all at once.

I remember thinking, "She looks so beautiful."

I remember holding her soft hands and reciting the vows we wrote for each other.

I remember when it was over, us walking back and looking at each other and saying, “Oh my gosh, we’re married.”

The Key for Your Guests to Remember Your Wedding

Now enough about me. You did not come here to read this or to hear about my wedding, but to hear how no one can forget yours.

A photographer is a partial solution. They capture many moments and give you something to look back on as a couple.

However, a photo booth helps ensure your guests remember your wedding. It allows guests to get photos with their friends, family, and you. It is one of the easiest ways for your guests themselves not to forget your wedding.

  • wedding couple holding photo from photo booth
  • group photo from photo booth
  • group photo from photo booth
  • two friends taking a photo from photo booth
  • group of friends taking a photo from photo booth
  • a photo being printed from the photo booth printer
  • wedding couple taking a photo at the photo booth
  • large group excited to take a photo
  • flat lay of photos from a wedding taken at the photo booth

When your guests go home after your wedding with a couple of photos stashed in their pocket, they do not throw something like that away. It is not a wedding favor that gets tossed in the trash. This is something they remember. This is something they put on their fridge, take to their office, put in a photo album, and have a digital copy saved on their phone. This is where your guests post these photos on Facebook and Instagram. And then, in 5 years, get a Facebook Memory popping up of your wedding.

So the surefire way to ensure no one forgets your wedding is to invest in a photo booth.
